Autumn Colour at Dunham Massey

Dunham Massey is a large Georgian house in Altrincham, Cheshire with a fine garden and a magnificent deer park. It is a National Trust property with a large car park, a new visitor centre, a restaurant and large grounds to walk around, even on days when the house is closed.

We last visited in June 2014 when the Rose Garden was in full bloom, taking some fabulous photos of one of our favourites – raindrops on roses!

This time it was a beautiful, warm, sunny October day and we were keen to see some autumn colour. We were certainly not disappointed.

As expected, the trees were a picture….

The leaves were stunning…

The shrubs were pretty colourful too…

We managed to spot a few of the 150 free roaming fallow deer…

And were pleasantly surprised by how many flowers were still in bloom….

Even the fungi managed to look spectacular!
